IMPORTANT — PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
Quintet Private Bank is referred to throughout as “the Company”. It is essential that you read and understand these terms and conditions before purchasing this investment. The terms and conditions for buying and selling fixed income investments with Quintet Private Bank are set out below. Additional terms and conditions may apply to specific services provided. This contract is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Clients are required to provide the documentation requested by the Company in accordance with UK and European anti-money laundering regulations, including photographic identification and proof of address dated within the last 90 days.
Quintet Private Bank acts as broker, arranging the purchase and, where required, the sale of the bond on your behalf. We do not hold client money. Eligible cash deposits are protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) up to £120,000 per eligible person, per banking licence, and eligible investments up to £85,000 per person, per authorised firm. Settlement for secondary market bonds is made through a segregated safeguarded account.
The Company charges a brokerage fee of 0.15% of the annual interest rate to arrange and secure the bond. This is the only ongoing fee payable by the client throughout the term, in addition to a one-off administration fee of £49.99. The fee is calculated on the total annual interest generated by the amount invested. If the client requests an early exit from the bond before the end of the stated term, a further fee of 0.75% is charged at the time of the request.
At the end of the term, the total capital invested in the bond is repaid to the client in full, together with any outstanding interest, within three business days. The term of the bond begins on the date payment is received and is stated clearly on the contract note, which is provided no later than 72 hours after full payment has been received.
The Company may, without incurring any liability to the client or any other person, decline to act upon an instruction that is not given in a timely manner, is not in writing where required, is not in the form or format required, or is in the Company’s opinion incomplete; or where the Company has any doubt that the instruction has been properly authorised or accurately transmitted.
The account holder may designate, and may add to, change or delete, beneficiaries in accordance with applicable law. In the event of the death of the account holder, the holding will be paid or transferred in accordance with applicable law to the designated beneficiaries or, where no beneficiary has been designated, to the legal personal representatives of the account holder. Before any payment or transfer is made, satisfactory evidence of death and such instructions, releases, indemnities and other documents as may be required must be received.
We maintain a written complaints policy setting out how we ensure each complaint is dealt with promptly and fairly. Should you have cause to complain for any reason, a copy of our complaints policy will be sent to you automatically.
We reserve the right to amend these terms and will give you 30 days’ notice in advance of any material change. If you disagree with the amended terms, you may withdraw your investment with no penalty.
All data is held in compliance with current data protection legislation. You consent to us disclosing information about you to regulated entities in order to carry out identity verification. Telephone calls are recorded for security and training purposes and these recordings may be used as evidence in the event of a legal dispute.
This agreement is governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Where any provision of legislation referred to in this agreement is renumbered as a result of a change in law, the reference is to be read as a reference to the provision as renumbered.
